Big Owl/Little Owl Program (BOP)

​

A mentorship program that connects small groups of Rice undergraduates with medical students, physicians, and residents. Meetings are usually held monthly in a casual setting, promoting discussion of medical issues and topics outside of academics such as lifestyle, aspirations, and the reality of being a medical student or physician. This semester, all meetings are back in person! The dates for our meetings are:

Fall Meeting : 

When: September 21st at 7:00-8:00 PM

Location: Brockman 101

 

Spring Meeting: TBD

If you are interested in attending one of our small group meetings but did not fill out the initial interest form, please just reach out, and we can add you to our final meeting of the semester.

We also set up individual mentorships between undergrads and medical students. The date and time can be scheduled to the convenience of the mentor and mentee.
