​RICE PRE-MEDICAL SOCIETY

The Outreach Committee is dedicated to bridging the gap between the campus and the community. Committed to fostering a spirit of service, our committee actively seeks volunteering opportunities not only on campus, but also extends its reach beyond the hedges to the greater Houston community. We volunteer at several medical-related and community events throughout the semester, so make sure to check our announcements.   Volunteering and Opportunities Fair: September 3, 2024 from 1-3PM

• Showcase a variety of volunteering opportunities and ways to get involved by bring together pre-health campus organizations and hospitals at the TMC.

• Breast Cancer Walk: October 23, 2024 at 7:30PM

• Walk in collaboration with the Rice Women’s Resource Center in honor of Breast Cancer Month

• Take Flight STEM Pathway Series: Fall 2024

• Pre-medical advising workshop sessions in partnership with the Office of Strategic and Educational Initiatives designed to increase pre-med awareness and advising for honors program community college students.
